No Limitations

“While there are proven therapeutic benefits to participating in sports: strengthening self-esteem, opportunities to mainstream into other divisions of play, disciplines of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play, there are other benefits to these types of programs.

When a member of the special needs community succeeds, the community, as a whole, succeeds. Assisting these citizens in becoming more independent‍‍‍ will help them enjoy a more fulfilling life as they grow into productive members of society.” ‍‍‍

Our Beginnings

No Limitations was established in July 2014 for the betterment of the lives of those in Central Texas who live with developmental and/or physical challenges and their families. No Limitations sought to give these individuals the opportunity to participate in team sports, while giving their families the pleasure of sharing in their joy, accomplishments, and growth.

Started as a soccer league, at the ‍‍‍request of then pastor of Central United Methodist Church of Waco Brad Britain, the inaugural soccer season consisted of 68 players on 12 teams (six inside the gym,6 outside on the soccer fields). The church offered its facilities and equipment free of charge, and a member made a sizable donation to ensure each child could play free of charge.

No Limitations developed and presented a soccer program in which athletes participated in an environment structured to each individual’s abilities. That soccer season was so successful, the program grew and evolved into much more than a soccer league. Basketball was added, as well as flag football‍‍‍ and cheerleading. And it didn’t stop with sports. Troop‍‍‍ No Limitations started, then Cub Scout Packability.

No Limitations has become a community of families supporting one another. An online support group formed where families share stories and lift one another on the more difficult days. They even swap clothes and equipment when one child outgrows something and another can benefit from it.

No limitations gave my daughter a chance to play a team sport without the fear of her getting hurt or having a sensory overload. I could not be more grateful for them practicing inclusion in everything they do and making it so many kids to do things they could not normally do!

Yes! I Love it! I love the people, I love the spirit of others, I love how they wrap their arms around each and EVERY CHILD, regardless of their ability or disabilities, regardless of their appearance! I love how every child gets several opportunities to play and score a goal, or goals! I love the coaches and I love the helpers/students who come and assist the kids! You all inspire me to do better - live better, be a better example to my son, and LOVE MORE ! Keep on rocking Love ~ Julie and Jacob

No limitations has opened a whole new world for us. My daughter just loves it. I love giving her new opportunities. Like it says no limitations. It has changed Hope she came up to the first time cheering. Said momma I finally fit in. She went back out on the field. I turned and cried happy tears.

No Limitations ‍‍‍has been great for my granddaughter. She has been able to play soccer, football, cheer, and basketball over the last couple of years. All of the volunteers in this organization have been great.
